how does that stand up to the EX 250 Ninja? I know it is a better looking machine, but looks aren't everthing.

pretty much the same as the ninja...same height...ninja is 6 speed this is 5 speed...

tire size ninja is 130 rear this is 150 rear...

displacement is the same...
both engine's are twin..

This just looks damn better...and for 3600 OTD brand new..not bad..for a good looking bike

The Ninja is a P2 compared to this V2. My old ~88ish GPZ250R had a higher rated top speed than the GT250R so it's no big step in 250cc tech. To me it's just another 250 but in a nicer suit.

If my gf were to buy new, I probably would like her to get this.

Except, of course, she's getting a used ninja, and probably won't want a 250 when she buys a new one

Its nice, but the Kawi is cheaper ($2999 MSRP) and has been around forever, which means trusted reliability, a plethora of aftermarket parts, and spare parts being sold (ebay).

The side profile looks pretty sweet, but the headlight is pretty ugly... The ZZR250 sold in canada is actually similar to the Ninja 250R sold here, but its sexier... I dont think it performs as well tho...
