Need a new hard drive for my pc...CompUSA had a Seagate 200gig hd for $60 after rebate. Seagate a good product? Lookin for some opinions and/or a hook up on a new hd.

seagate use to be great but Western Digital took over the HD market. if its cheap i say go for it, chances are they all last for about the same amount of time.

A Seagate or Western Digital will be fine. Stay away from Maxtor.

never had a problem with seagates, and ive been using them for at least 20 years... my first drive was a 20meg ST-225 MFM drive back in the day, so maybe I am a little partial to them.

nice thing about seagate is that they now carry a 5yr warranty on their drives, which is great.

I work at comp but honestly I don't even buy drive from there unless there is a crazy sale or something. I have founf better deals via fatwallet.com
I am lookin for a 250gb SATA at the moment.
Seagates and WD's are both good the 5yr warranty is always a plus though
