"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine," the office said in a short statement.

In a statement released through Ledger's publicist, Ledger's father, Kim, said Wednesday: "While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage."

How is that an accident? I'm pretty confident the doctor wouldn't have prescribe them to all be taken at once.

Addicts always get more than one script from more than one doctor and fill at more than one pharmacy.

Nah.... Just used to scooping them off the floor onto stretchers and investigating their Meds for the EMT/ Medics. They always seem to have alot of the same ones from different Docs.

Not to defend anything. My step father was given several prescriptions by one doctor. ALL of them had some kind of blood thinning agent & put him in the hospital. Doctors only "practice medicine".
