I watched some video of me that was taken right after the pit out, I looked so slow, it was pretty pathetic.

Congrats on the bump

Dan...you don't look like a basic rider in that pic at all, great form!

yep, that's me. You were looking pretty good out there Kevin!- congrats on the bump!
Thanks for the kind words kevin. I'm hope you enjoy the video, I'm curious to see it myself. I'm pretty sure that your video is currently being produced- you should have it in a week or so.
It was good to meet you, I hope to see you out there next time.

Thanks Ron, here's a different angle of my form. Doesn't have my knee down but I don't think they got that. I do have pathetically small scrape on my left slider to show for it. lol
njf4i: The video is some that friends recorded at the track, I'll try to post it up once I get a copy of it.

Within time grasshoppa. It'll happen naturally, when you're trying is when bad things can happen...just ask Omar

Yeah, I know. I was taking it pretty easy most of the day, trying not to use my brakes and basically staying smooth. Getting the knee down was a bit of a surprise but it wasn't what I was there to do. Everyone was kind of surprised and happy for me I guess and I'm kind of proud of it but having seen the video and these pictures I can see plenty of ways to improve my form.
Thanks again Joe.

Oh stop. Don't worry about it. Getting your knee down for the 1st time is like one of the greatest feelings ever! Enjoy it and congrats!

Anyway, no one in our group went down (Vin went off track but didn't dump the bike) so it was a good day. I want to buy a track bike now... sigh.

but it's also my street bike, I don't want to dump it at the track and then not be able to ride. I was thinking of picking up a salvage title 06/07 gsxr600, that way the parts are interchangeable and it's a similar feel.
