For some reason a quote about a pot and a kettle are coming to mind here.

Yeah, stupid blue Art Basic vest was covering the leathers. I had the gray plastics on the gixxer and the red helmet (second pic is a friend of mine):

I think the blue vests were a good idea actually...probably helped the instructors and ART Basic participants find each other in the sea of riders/drivers running three seperate trackdays events. :o :p
Well if I see you out there next time I'll say hello. I remember see your friend on the monster too with pink decals all done up. haha.

Nice shot there Dan. You look comfortable out there from what I can tell...good body position for your first track day.

I was riding in Red on my new (to me) 2001 R6 getting a feel for it. After a geometry change (pulled the forks up 3mm, was handling like a truck) and suspension change (added 2 clicks of rebound dampening in the shock for the bumps) I started to get my groove back and two coaches coaxed into Blue. (for the second time...on the same exact day as last year actually) I had a great day!

That sounds awesome dude, you must really know how to ride if you got bumped to blue!
Thanks Joe, I actually got my knee down a few times in turn 11 (decreasing radius onto the front straight - I think it's turn 11) so I guess I shouldn't complain about my form. I still need work though. I found that in some corners I was just going too slow to make it work. The double apex was one and turn two was the other. Omar was giving me a hand at one point in the day but having talked to him after, I wasn't getting what he was trying to tell me. It was weird riding the 750 out there, barely got out of 2 on the back straight. lol

It's all relative, when I was in blue I distinctly remember coach TJ Foti and a red Ducati 998 (I think?) pass me like I was standing still at one point. :p The track humbles u as well as would the # of crashes I've had. But yeah, it's always a good feeling to get asked to move up in a group. Good times.
