They give me a rash when I'm wearing my tiger-striped banana hammock.

Then you're not griping the tank with your knees maybe? I took the track bike in the lot at the storage unit and I was like, "Man this bothers me."

I've been using http://www.thetankslapper.com/ for a while. It's mostly to protect the paint, but it's also somewhat non-slip on the outside as well.

I had them on my 636 and transferred them to my R1(until the adhesive gave). I one used them with jeans. I had no problems and like them. I will get another set specific for my R1 soon. Might be just me though.

Funny you say that. On my 636 I bought off ebay big magnets for cars/truck signs. I painted it blue and put the stomp grip on. The problem is the magnet was not strong enough for all the corners (curves in the tank). It almost flew off a few times.

F ck that idea. that's what i was concerned about. i'll just put it on the tank. that's not something i want to think about while taking a corner.

That's exactly what I do - Carry my weight on the pegs,
and fix my position on the bike with my legs on the tank.

For me, the biggest benefit of Stomp Grips is that they
make it a little easier to keep my weight off of my wrists,
especially under braking. I have always had trouble with
wrist & hand numbness, and these help me signifigantly.

As for the jeans, yes, I can feel the Stomp Grips through
them, it's just not something that bothers me.

Stomp grip sucks while riding with shorts!!!

Anywho, after 2 sets came off, I decided to stop using it. Might try it again but who knows.
