The above begins "All in the Family"
Here's the rest of it:

Those were the days....
I knew you when you were thin
Girls were girls and men were men
Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again
Didn't need no welfare state
Everybody pulled his weight
Gee, our old LaSalle ran great
THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!

Okay - Here's mine:

Through early morning fog I see
Visions of the things to be
The pains that are witheld for me
I realize and I can see
That suicide is painless - It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please...

Another blast from my past. It's the theme from "M*A*S*H". Being an old fart helps me compete with you younger minds out there. Of course, I am having difficulties coming up with any TV lyrics on my own. Must be having another senior moment.

This is one of my favorites: (which i still watch on some weekday mornings on TBS)

"Well, I wake up in the morning,
And the 'larm gives out a warning,
And I don't think I'll ever make it on time.

By the time I grab my books,
And I give myself a look,
I'm at the corner, just in time to see the bus fly by. "

Here is my second gay TV theme song circa 1980's (and no i don't watch this one)

"What ever happened to predictibility?
The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go (there's a heart). "
