Yes you can but I had an entire training module deleted from a share drive. No more... Luckily I had it backed up on a stick.

you should be able to pwd protect your folder on the share drive

I save my work to a stick and the physical drive on my laptop. It's all moved to a share drive once completed.

Some of our people dont like working off of share drives because their work can be seen by anyone with access to that drive.
