You should have your water tested to see "what" is actually in it, and how much of it there is.

Water softening typically removes almost all the minerals dissolved in water, but you want to have SOME there, just not TOO MUCH.

We were talking about a "remineralizing filter" to restore some of the mineral content in the water.
