C-mon, so your all closet NASCAR fans??? Seriously though, its may not be NEXTEL CUP thats pound for pound the best racing , but BUSCH & Truck racing is good.

I live about 5 miles from RIR in Richmond. NASCAR (or any round-y-round) racing is boring. The excitement is in the crashes. Very macabre.

Richmond is a NASCAR town. If anyone saw the IRL race here a few weeks ago, the grandstands were almost empty.

Excellent use of the word Macabre (thats sounds like "Mah-C'hob" for those of you recently graduating from public schools.)

Nascar is hugely successful, dont fault them for that becuase it dosent get your rocks off.

edit: For the record, I hate nascar.
I don't fault NASCAR for being successful, I just think the past couple of years, the complexion of the racing has changed. Even though it has been decades since there was factory backing in NASCAR, it was a brand focused sport. Now all the cars are the similiar. People should be talking Chassis-engine-body rather than Chevy, Ford, or Dodge. It is possible nowadays to have a Laughlin chassis, Hutter power, and a DEI body if you can afford it, but even with all the combinations, the cars are still so similar. I love the factories battling it out in Superbikes and MotoGP. Thats real racing!
