Default Custom PC Map

I have an appointment this Wednesday at Xtreme Machines to get my 1000RR on the dyno and get my PC custom mapped. I was thinking of getting a BMC Race Filter before I take it. Is that a good idea? Will I gain alot more from it or is Stock ok? Also, is there anything else I need to do before I drop it off Tuesday night?

Unless you have a full exhaust system dont bother with the air filter. Most bikes make more power with the stock air filters.

Make sure your bike has a full tank of gas. It will spend some time on the dyno at WOT.

Ok cool. That saves me $120 then. I am not sure if I need to disable the Pair valve before I go there or if they do it for you.

Anyone got an idea on how to disable the pair valve before I ride it there? All the shit I find about it is kinda vague.

To disable the PAIR, doing the entire mod, you'd need to remove it, and block off the valves and the holes in the airbox. When I had my 929 custom mapped, the tuner blocked it off by pinching the hoses closed with some hemostats. That works fine, just make sure the tuner does it. That is, unless you're planning on doing the PAIR mod anyway, then do it prior. I have the valve block off plates from Dan Kyle, I've just never bothered to do the mod. Doing it won't add more power, but, if after the installation of a full system and map if there's popping on decel, removing the PAIR will remedy that.

If you think you'll notice a 1 HP difference on a 160hp bike then go for it
