Default tips on mounting race plastics

i just got my race fairings in and i was wondering if there are any helpful tips you guys got..??????? going on an 08 gsxr....

Bend, grind, drill, and curse as applicable and to varying degrees depending on the quality of bodywork...

thank actually i went the cheap route and got a set off ebay from optimal racing... so far the tail was spot on . i leave an update 2morrow when im doing the upper and lower.. DOES ANYONE KNOW A DECENT PAINTER NOT TO EXPENSIVE????

A lot easier if you get a friend to hold while you line it up. PM "Chris" his guy does awesome work and very reasonable.

YEA had my girl out in the garage for a couple hours being my third hand lol i noticed that the lower is rubbing on the exhaust do you think that i is going ti melt or is that non issue

It could burn a hole though it, do you have full exhaust.? or stock? on my buddy's we had to cut the belly around the bottom of the exhaust in order for it to fit, and this is with a full Yosh exhaust. the cut would have been worse with the stock exhaust.

yea its stock.. and i really didnt plan on upgrading for a while....that would mean i would have to cut half the lower off.....that wouldnt be a problem at tech..????? new to the track?????is that only in blue group that they care or i got no worries,,,, i was planning on running the stock exhaust for most of 09 wuold rather buy track time

me, personally, i like to see the entire belly without holes just in case mechanical and oil dont get all over the track, this happens and theres a few session wasted.

Most race bodywork for the 06/07 GSXR says "will not fit with stock exhaust". I would assume the 08 is no different.

You can run without the lower till you get an exhaust.

Tech? They dont care if you have fairings. if you do, they have to be secure.

bikes come without plastic you know....
