I don't think so. My brother bought a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard M109 and registered it in his name at his address. He then joined onto my father's Insurance policy which is sent to my father's address. Same town, but still different street addresses. Dunno if that's what you mean?

yeah that's what I mean. My brother and I switched bikes but both still have loans under our names. I bought a house and the insurance is still under his house address but my name. I just moved out late 06 so the reg was still under his address. Now the new reg info was sent to my new address and i'm trying to figure out if i need to put it still under his address and not my new address...

I got pulled over last month and my registration and license plate were still NJ but my insurance and license were both PA. The cop didn't say anything. I'm not saying it's legal, but I would have thought it would have come up if it was an issue.

I don't think they do have to match. I have insurance for the car at my registration address but insurance for the bike is at a different address to the bike reg. Everything's still valid though.

My policies ask where my vehicles are "garaged". You might want to look into clarifying this.
