If you have a credit card balance, make sure to check your APR
A month or so ago I noticed my credit card APR was down to about 5% so I decided to start using it to take advantage of the reward programs and things like that. Then I logged on this morning and saw my APR is now 14.99%. I called to bitch and they said "due to the market, we've raised the rates". So basically there is nothing I did, they did it because they're hemorrhaging money.
Citicard (who mine is through) allowed people to cancel their cards and have the rate reset back to what it previously was but they can't use the card anymore. I pay mine off monthly so it's not big deal for me (I canceled that shit right there), but if you're carrying a balance call up and get this done now before they terminate this offer.
