Default 2000 honda 929???

What do you guys think of the honda 929???? I have a 01 f4i right now, kinda scratched up, Those of you who have seen it know what i'm talking about. I will fix it, but just during the winter. But also, i know that there is a slight chance where i can trade my bike plus around $1000 for a 2000 929 yellow, low miles, and hasn't been dropped. But i'm not so sure if i like it. The headlights look kinda ol'skool. What you guys think??? or maybe just buy it and sell it?? i think its got only like 5k miles on it. How much does it go for?? This is a buddy of mine, and he'll sell it cheap to me but wants to get rid of it quick. Just wondering if i can make a few bucks on it...

Well it is 6yrs old. The bike itself was/is a great bike. Big with people who stunt(I guess they can take a beating.)

Thumbs up

I have the 2000 Honda CBR 929 RR and I love it man! I'm never getting rid of it. I've had it for over two years now and I do not have one bad thing to say about it, well maybe one...the rear brakes on the 929's are not that good, but other than that its an awesome bike. I'll post up pics of it this weekend. I finially got out yesterday after work and I almost forgot how fast it is (or bike are in general). I fully recommend the 929RR. Yes, its a good bike for stunts too if your into that sort of thing. I play around on it once in a while. But the bike is a wheelie machine. Good luck with your decision. If you do get it, you will not regret it.

BTW, I think the front end if beautiful! I like the front end look better than the 954. Definitly not old school.

I just sold my 929 like 2 weeks ago. The bike is awesome and if I still rode I would have kept it. Mogwai is right, the rear brakes blow, I just used them to shave off a few mph so I didn't really care. And the headlights are awesome, you can see at night with them and stuff.

I love my 929. I have an '01, can't believe it's 5 years old already. Very reliable, haven't had it back to the dealer's once. It'll need a 16k valve adjustment soon, the dealer will get it for that...

Not a bad price, but I don't think you'll be able to turn it around for a lot more than that. I'm not sure what they're going for now, in general. Check the kelly blue book values?

I'd say 5k is a good price. I just sold mine for $4500 which was a little low but I priced it to move.

$5000 is good. Bike is worth it if in good condition and low miles.
