Me too, been coaching for 14 years now. Usually someone from there suggests you may be a good coach.

Took mine at Rockland Community College in Westchester. Def worth the time and $. The course is for everyone, I had a 70yr old in my class! Come to think of it he really shouldn't have passed that course, I wonder how he's doing...

Not a bad deal to get some instruction from a seasoned rider, discount on your insurnace and points off of your lisence.

Rider insurance didn't give me a discount for the course.....

Of course not, when would they offer anyone with a good record a discount on anything?

Check with your auto ins. as well, they might.

Hmm, take the Coach Prep class. It's 8 days straight Sun-Sun. Most call it Hell Week.

FYI If you take an ERC from RENJ it counts as a defensive driver course. % or more% off your car insurance(mandatory in NJ) and 2pts off your license of you have them.

I'm just talking the paper requirements, not the actual job. And I find it funny people call it "hell week" when it's the only week, usually "hell week" denotes the hardest week.

ERC is 2 point reduction or 10% discount off insurance... gotta call them about it. Its accepted by the MVC as a driver improvement program.

EDIT: Yeah... I had this up for a bit and didn't respond before seeing Bob post up

Taking the course is the best thing anyone can do. Teaching the class also has its rewards. CBR Bob and Student Driver are good examples.

MSF BRC we definitely worth it. I got my license through the DMV road test in NY and did the BRC anyway. It was worth it.
