Tire pressure question: Not attending too many 100+ degree days, my normal cold pressure (31-31 on the OEM Pirelli's that came with my 09 Triumph 675) was probably too high yesterday at Thunderbolt. My hot temps were 36-36. Can I get some suggestions for the temps I should be aiming for? I heard I should aim for 31-31 HOT. True? Thanks.

Kevin,
the tires that came on your bike might have the same tread pattern as the SuperCorsa's but they have a street compound similar to the DCIII. So 31-31cold should work fine.

Thanks Ralph - i though as much. My wear pattern looked good. I had to go 3 full turns in on the front forks (from the street setting of full out) and I think one more turn would have helped by the end of my day.

31 cold for a street compound is a lil low...31 hot would be way low. Closer to 34 cold(like the DCIII's were recommended) would be better for a street compound. Lower PSI causes the tire to flex which will generate heat, something you really wanna stay away from with street tires on a track. Tires are ment to be run within a certain temp range, run them outside that range and they can feel "greasy" under ya.
