Default Winter storage

I forgot, when storing your bike is it better for a full gas tank or an empty one?

I would assume empty.

Fill with premium and add stabilizer, higher octane fuel stores longer. So I'm told.

On the track bike I............

Fill the tank with 93(Ant) and add Sta-Bil. Then run it for a while to circulate it through the fuel system.

Change the oil and filter and don't run it after.

If you have straight water, add antifreeze.

50psi in the tires so they don't flat spot if you keep it on the ground.

Wash it and a quick spray polish.

Put it on the battery tender.

Streetbike........

Add 1/2 amount of Sta-Bil to the tank (always come home full).

Ride all year round

Heres a thought that was being thrown around...being that today's fuel is made with more amounts of Ethanol, it seems that gas is "going bad" a bit faster. Would Sta-bil have to adjust their formula for this?

Negative, leave a drum of unsealed race gas open and see how quickly it degrades.

The fuel stabilizer you put in it (like Sta-bil) allows it to store longer, not the octane rating.

Not all race gas has higher octane level. Common race fuels the octane rating can be pretty low 87...but they're highly oxygenated. You should know this lol.
