Glad to hear things are going well for ya.

Atleast out of NY everyone who has guns owns them legally In your spot it may be a bit tougher leaving before retirement. For me I would prefer a more suburban type setting. Some decent bars/restaurants but not a ton of people everywhere you go. Like Jimmy I do like LI for the living in the burbs aspect but its too expensvie and too much traffic to go anywhere.

I also want to be close to good tracks and good backroads to ride as well. its nice seeing other communities that are actualy motorcycle friendly.

Not much

right now we are just doing no fault and workmans comp cases, its easy/boring work but the Er experience pays off in sniffing out fraud and investigators. My boss is very paranoid about being investigated (just doesnt want the hassle) and makes sure we are completley legit. In one office he went off on a manager since she was pushing me to order more MRIs and i wouldnt do it if they didnt need it. theres a lot of money to be made in this field, however fraud is always a concern and too many people get greedy.

What were planning on going into is opening a few urgent care/walk in clinics advertising the idea of not having to wait several hours to be seen. its more or less what I do in the fast track area in the ER just I will get paid more for it and I can bill for my services too

I have heard the same horror stories, so long as you document properly and can justify the exams/therapy etc then its ok. I have had the owners try to push me in one direction or another but I just do my thing and document it appropriatley and all is good. Plus the doc I work for told me I only do what he wants not the office manager and I even have the power to toss people out of the office if I think they are full of crap.
