Group Signup for California Superbike School at Thunderbolt May 10 and 11
Hey guys,
I know most of you are pretty fast already (way faster than me I'm sure), but I'm trying to catch up... so I'm going to CSS (Keith Code) at Thunderbolt on May 10 and 11, and I'm trying to see if any of you are interested. From what I heard, CSS (and Keith Code) is one of the best racing schools out there, and this year, they'll be renting brand new BMW S1000RR as the school bike if you don't want to use your own.
If we can get 7+ people to sign up as a group, they offered to give us free gear rentals ($75/day).
Apparently Thunderbolt is one of their more popular locations and is selling out fast. So please let me know ASAP if you're interested.
Cheers
JT
ps, I do not work for CSS and have no affiliation with them.
Btw, from what I've read they have a pretty relaxed refund policy. You only need to put down a deposit, and as long as you cancel 2 wks ahead, you will get a full refund. Apparently there's usually a long wait list anyway that they have no problem filling it up...
From their website:
Refund, Reschedule And Cancellation Policy
1. Your school deposit locks in your spot.
2. If you cancel or reschedule 14 days or more before your scheduled date, you get a full refund.
3. If you cancel or reschedule between 8 and 14 days before your scheduled date(s) you will lose your deposit.
4. If you cancel between 0 and 7 days before your scheduled date(s) you will lose your entire school fee.
5. All credit card refunds are subject to a 3% re-credit service fee.

Sounds like a good time.
If I wasn't down here @ Redneck Central I'd sign up.

I was signed up to take Level 1 at VIR this past August but ended up getting rained out. I got a chance to speak with a few very proficient riders that had been through multiple levels with Code and walked away somewhat glad for the rain.
Here are a couple of other options that came recommended.

Really? So far I've heard nothing but good things about CSS (aside from Keith Code apparently having a big ego)... What did you hear?
The two options you suggested are pretty far from NYC...

They only let you start with level 1...... even if your an AMA Expert....
besides. I'm sure I have plenty of bad habits that I can work on correcting with them. And for the price its works out to less $$ than taking PT with Mr G.....
