Default NJ Inspection facility (private)

Can someone tell me where in NJ (besides the DMV facilities) I can get my bike inspected privately for a reasonable price? Preferably northern NJ. Thanks in advance!

Some bike dealers can/will inspect. Call up Pompton Honda on 23.

Why not take it to MVS? You don't wait in line etc. 5mins in/out.

Well, how strict is the DMV with aftermarket exhausts, etc?

This would be for a used bike I picked up, which is stock other than the pipe. But in the future, I'm not sure my bike current bike would pass because of things like flush mounts.

And yes, I refuse to put reflective tape on my helmet.

Hint: as long as the pipe isn't obnoxiously loud (D&D), ride up to the place in a higher gear, low rpms, they are usually ok about that. Flushmounts, well, you can argues the law with them if you want but you won't win. I guess if you have them you have them. The reality is they are useless on the street, signals should be visible to the people they are meant for (in front, not just the side), so they might not let that slide. Then again, a good private place shouldnt either.

I actually just use an old helmet that has the reflective tape on it. It is the dedicated DMV inspection helmet.
