lol..billy yeah i heard that your one of the best street rippers...but like i said on the street i get some hesitation...if i was on the track i'm sure it would be different..this winter i'm gonna try and save a bit more money for full suspension work and gear and tires....i should be ready for some next year...
I actually made this post for fun...but it's acutually turned out informative...all I hear people talk about is chicken strips....and how good you ride cuz of it..or what ever.....now i know the truth..muuahahahaha....and i'm not a bad rider either..I don't think so at least

Don't get carried away at keeping up though... that will end in a bad spill...

First of all I gave you a compliment in a joking fashion. Secondly it's not about risk or who has the biggest dick, as Billy stated the more one's ability increases in being comfortable leaning the bike properly into any turn the less chicken strips are apparent at the end of the day. If you're speaking of not taking risks then don't bother riding at all be it on the street or on the track, the faster you go the worse it gets.

I just think it's a shame everyone's so hung up on these "strips". Just fucking ride and don't worry about how much lean angle you have.
And yeah, I worry about the risks of riding hard on the street. There's no need to double the speed limit in areas where it is simply not safe. I'll take the risk on the track, thanks. There's no guard rails, oncoming traffic, sand, dirt, or trees to fuck someone's world up.
That's my opinion.
Oh, and I think we've all heard the "If you can't keep up, don't show up" line of horse shit before. That mentality is what gets people hurt.

I don't think the subject of "strips" is a disaster to speak of, more so a form of busting the chops of fellow riders, like Rev said he didn't take it seriously and he shouldn't.
If one's worrying about their lean angle there's something wrong, unelss it's the case where they're pushing the bike completely over without moving off the seat at all.
The street can be as safe as you make it, I know, I've been on it for a long time. The track is a much more controlled envioronment or so it should be aside from the apparent amount of distracting gravel on the outside of a turn at Beaver. But don't lose sight of the fact that you can just as easily get a medivac flight to the ER on the track as you can on the street...shit happens and when it does bones don't discriminate.
Regarding pace, at the beginning of this year Billy, Dave and I were running upfront and Nick, Mike & you were running behind, we didn't care and pulled over to wait, you ran your own pace as we did ours and everyone had a great time. You chose your comfortable pace and we respected you for it. But in general it's important for newbie to know the pace of the group ride, especially if they don't know the guys they're riding with, so they don't lose concentration and hurt themselves in trying to keep up with the faster guys if they choose not to slow down. There's nothing wrong with a group of guys running a spirited pace on the street and they shouldn't be looked down upon cuz they were nice enough to inform a newbie about the pace before hand. It's up to the individual rider to make up their own mind on how and where they choose to ride.

no chicken strips can be a bad thing, and although i havent personally experienced it yet, others here who will remain nameless have experienced what happens when you have too much lean angle...

I like to follow good riders because i can see how they move on the streets. i will pace them..I know how to handle my bike but it's good to ride behind someone who is good at riding cuz you can learn a lot...i'm not worried about chicken strips i kinda just wanted to know what they are and why some people out there base that on how you ride...now I know...and knowing is half the battle..."GO JOE"
