I have them on both of my sport bikes. My RC51 levers are gold and the TLR levers are silver. I like them, quality is excellent, unfortunately since I am replacing the master cylinders on both my brake and clutch for the TLR the levers cannot be used anymore. Unfortunate since the TLR clutch lever had to be modified slightly to work with the clutch safety switch. The CRG TLR Clutch lever is actually one for an RC51.

Maybe a little, because of the dog bone design they are angled towards the handle bar more than the OEM lever

I have Pazzo levers that I bought from a GB over at R6MN for $155 shipped. Pazzos are a bit cheaper than CRG (retail price) but there's really no difference between the two levers.
There isn't much difference, if any, in lever pull with the long or shorts. You just don't have the leverage on the shorties as you do on the long. You can probably fit 3 fingers on the shorties unless you have girlie hands. The main benefit for the shorties is that you're much less likely to snap off a lever if/when you go down. I went down with them and they were untouched. I usually use 2 on the clutch and 1 on the brakes, 2 if I'm braking hard.
The levers are adjustable and you can have them as close or as far from the clip-ons as you like. You can also adjust them while you're riding, though once you have them set, you don't need to move them.
I was a little hesitant on spending so much on levers but once they were installed and I went out for the first ride, I kicked myself for not doing it sooner. Definitely worth the price of admission.

I paid $180 per set for mine a while back, Pazzo is also a good lower cost alternative, but an Italian copy of a CRG thats made here in the US. FYI.

Here's mine. The photo was taken to show the Ram mount for the GPS but it's a good shot for the levers too.
