Default Bike Chains tested

Keep in mind the chains are ON THE FLOOR...gives the thieves leverage...the key is to keep the chains HANGING and tight so as to prevent the bolt cutters from getting leverage.

Its why I sold my open trailer last summer. I would rather have the bikes in an enclosed trailer for road trips.
I was waiting for them to recommend one that would stand up to the test, but alas theres not much that can take the assault from a set of bolt cutters that big.
I would imagine part of the answer is forging a chain larger than the jaws of that bolt cutter can handle. Problems are many. Bolt cutters will keep getting larger to keep pace with the new chain diameters. Other kinds of powered tools can also make easy work of cutting through the chains.
good video clip.
Don't forget the videos showing kids defeating kyrptonite barrel locks with the body of a Bic pen. No bolt cutters needed. Bump luck keys would also get the job done as well.
