iv been runnin M-1's for a couple years now, no complaints. i run a 200 tire though cause im a poser. i paid 145. hard to find a 200 though , i guesss metzler stopped making them now cause there phasing the M-1's out.
i usually go thru 2 sets of rears before i replace the front tire.

its more that im fatter than you, than more aggressive, i do alot of highway miles and that eats the middle of my tire quick, considering im putting 210lbs of pressure on the rear compared to whatever you weight, lol. . i average about 3-4k miles on a rear tire and about 6-8k on the front. so basically im changing the rear every riding season, the front every 2 seasons.

M-1's were a great tire in their day, but compared to current compounds, they're a waste of money. A Pilot Power, Diablo Corsa or M3 will stick better and last longer than the venerable M1.
Great prices on Pilot powers, right here: http://sportbiketrackgear2.homestead.com/michelin.html
Cheers,
Lance

Well, Pirelli and Metzler are basically the same tire, just different tread pattern. Anyone of them will be fine.
