Bodywork painting
Can someone recommend a shop that does good bodywork painting? Not just simple colors, but able to mimic race theme bikes, etc.
Thanks in advance!

If you can get the decal kit for what your looking for thats the cheaper way to go.
Check out tapeworks.
I'm going to replicate the R1 LE paint scheme on my bike with different colors.

Has anyone noticed any custom bodies that cover most of a bike like the R1 as done with the new ducatis? Is this something one would go completely custom to accomplish? as in I'd have to learn the trade and do it myself!

You could do a custom with a 1 or two piece set of race plastics and just cut out the holes for your lights.

I might have been looking in the wrong place, but all the race plastics I've seen for the R1 are just like the OEM and expose all the parts I'm trying to avoid seeing.

i'm also curious to know the recommended body shops around Northern Jersey... I need to get a fairing's slight rashes sanded down and painted over. Cheaper than buying the whole front fairing that only has a few very minor rashes.
Also, would the body shop be able to order the stock Kawasaki paint from the dealer? Unfortunately it's a funky metallic purple/black color and not a flat black color.

Get intouch with Shamster, I forwarded him some information of a guy's info that was posted on the TPM board. Matching the paint shouldn't be a problem.

www.color-rite.com should have most/all stock colors for most bikes, I would check them out... might get better results color matching though since the color may have faded over time...
