Certain organizations are made up of only certain people. These certain people don't define other groups they might have things in common with.

Not all black people are black panthers, and not all white people are KKK members. People sometimes decide to do what they feel. It may just be their belief, not those of their organizations.

I'm black, and I also feel it's wrong for these two two "black panthers" (in quotes 'cause I don't know that they carry around ID cards) to have been "blocking" the entrance to the voters. They may have been racist (in the true sense of the word,) but there's no law that says you can't be racist. There was a problem and the police took care of it. One person was either taken away or asked to leave.

Just treat it like it is. This was about two individuals that were doing something short of civic. Please resist the temptation to bundle people into groups. Squids don't represent all motorcyclits, do they?

CORNBREAD,
I agree that racism goes both ways. In regards to your post about the black church praying for Obama to be president, you have to understand that churches have always been in the middle of everything that black people do (sports, entertainment, and even politics.) Why not now? You can't successfully compare Black/African-American/Minority customs to those that are not.

FYI - I'm sure there was a white church somewhere praying for McCain to win.

Mike195,
Yes, we still have to have Black History month even though it's still the shortest month in the year!
