Chris, you have to come out here to visit if only for a geography lesson.

I live in San Jose, about 400 miles NORTH of Santa Ana (near Disneyland). San Jose is about 50 miles south of San Francisco and has just passed Detroit as the 10th largest city in the US. There are hills all along the coast near here that are generally referred to as the "Santa Cruz mountains". Santa Cruz proper is a town along the coast most famous for the beach and Boardwalk amusement park plus a UC campus. The water is cold, however. :cries:

Page Mill Road actually runs mostly from the flats up into the hills in Palo Alto (home to Stanford and Hewlett Packard). Parts of it are a goat trail. This web site has a bunch of m/c roads in CA. Those under the heading "Santa Cruz Mountains" are in my back yard:
