Exclamation Overkill oil changes (street riding only)

What's with riders changing their bike's standard oil ever 1,000 miles? Especially synthetic?!

It's your money so if you feel like wasting it go ahead, but there's no need for it on the street. Standard oil can go to 3,000 before it starts to break down, and Synthetic is designed to have less breakdown over time so putting 5,000 or more on it isn't a problem. Just pick up a quality filter like a K&N to take care of the dirty work and have fun riding instead of killing yourself changing the oil every two to three weeks.

Same deal with fuel, using more than the recommended octane is just literally burning your money away on a stock motor, it's performance won't increase at all, but that's already been touched on numerous times.
