In many cases if the dealer replaced the part and submitted the warranty they are required to send the old part back to the manufacturer or not get paid. So your peace of mind is that if they didn't replace it they don't get paid, so what incentive to they have to not replace it, and it cannot be noted as replaced in the vehicle database. If you want PM me your vin and I'll check to see what notes are associated with it
