I just had this done on my K9 gsxr6. It apparently affects many different 2008-2009 models. I noticed after they brought the bike back out that the new rectifier was warm, almost hot to the touch still. I never paid attention before, but doesn't it take a while for the device to start generating some heat or is it pretty early in the warmup cycle?
I'm concerned that they didn't actually replace it. I've yet to research revised part numbers for the updated non defective rectifier vs the bad one.
