Direct from my buddy at BMW Motorrad USA:

in stores end of 09, for sale early 2010. Priced in line with the R1, CBR1000. Also with traction control, super lightweight ABS (switchable for track use) and should weigh under 200 kilos.

Gorgeous! With a commitment of only 1000 units the first year of production dealers will be adjusting the MSRP up I'm sure.

No no only 1000 in 2009. It doesn't go on sale in the US until 2010 and there will be enough to go around.
