how come every time you tell someone (that doesnt ride) that you ride a motorcycle they have to tell you some stupid story about some guy they knew who split his skull open or how some kid was speedin down a side street and someone opened a car door on him and ripped his leg off...

why cant they just say "cool" and leave it alone???

I don't care how nice someone was that approached me on the street after seeing me with the bike, if they started asking me if I ever crashed or started to speak of those situations I'd simply ignore them...they'll never understand.

Like we love to hear stories like this. We go out and ride to have a positive experience not a negative experience.

Because people are compelled to feel they did their useful part to society, because they don't ride, they don't understand. Que sera... that or we all a bunch of brainless idiots who have a deathwish. Take your pick. :D
