I posted a test vid in the original post...I've been having ftp issue so I hope it works...sorry for the wind, I held it out the truck window

looks interesting, keeping the camera safe while on the track would be the trick, especially for a bike with race plastic. No trunk space. Maybe a small tank bag would be a good place for the camera.

Well, they did it. They came out with a newer one, waterproof and 30fps! Up to 2gig SD card, did I mention 30fps?! Definitely worth $130.

i have both; oregon scientific & the viosport.
i've used both on the bike. i originally bought it for snowboarding, funny how alkaline batteries don't work at freezing temps (didn't know that at the time). i have to get the more $$$ lithium batteries for this winter season. |

i'm not sure if 1 gig will be enough memory for video. With decent quality, a 2 gig card can get most of 30 min or something close to it.......

I'm getting one for my brother for christmas so he can tape it to his m16 when he gets deployed to iraq in march. |
VGA(640x480)@30fps with 2GB card is actually an hour. Not bad if the image quality is actually decent.
I am considering one of these, even for every day riding. The last few times I have been out riding I have had idiots thinking riding in the same lane as me is cool, including one woman who pulled out of a shopping center right in front of me and nearly killed me. I am still a bit shaken up over that incident, and I actually got to the point of filing a complaint for careless driving. It probably won't do me much good, but after 3 close calls in 30 minutes of riding, enough was enough. If I had this camera on the bike it should be all the evidence I need. At this point the case is going to turn into a he said/she said and won't go anywhere. |

I agree on taping all your rides. It's digital so just delete it if it was uneventful. I think its a great investment. I just ordered mine. If you need a cheap 2 gig card: http://www.ilikecheapstuff.com/2006/...e-digital.html |
can you put a bigger than 2 gig card in it...?
