the night run we had last year we had to pull it out of our jackets and even then it didnt work. the popos had to scan it for us it was a pain in the ass.

I used to mount mine right on the gas tank up near the triple clamp, and it worked at every toll.

I keep mine under the passenger seat and it rarely works, and thats kind of the point. For the tolls without gates, if you keep as far right or left it often never even scans, nor does it trigger the photo equipment to take a picture. Seems like they have some flaws in their system they need to fix. ;)

I rarely go through a toll with a gate so thats not a big concern of mine.

You are not supposed to use the same EZpass for different class vehicles, so using your car unit while on the bike could cost you. Even if you do move it from one vehicle to another of the same type, you have to have both vehicles registered with ezpass. I am pretty sure the monthly fee is the same, no matter how many units you have, since I have 3 units and still get charged just $1/mo service fee...

i have 3 units just bc i'm lazy in switching back and forth.

I had the hard plastic velcro ezpass on the inside of my windshield for my R6, that seemed to work everytime. Now, I'm wondering if putting it in the back of my jacket, where the back protector is to be inserted and zipped, if that wouldn't work well enough, I haven't had a chance to test it.

I had mine mounted under the seat.. but behind the seat so it was under the plastic fairings... it worked fine.

Or another option going thru tolls without gates is to just hug the left side hard. Pretty much put your tire on the curb and go. I only got hit for maybe on toll violation doing that. But that is something illegal and don't suggest you should do. :P

Same here.

I just keep mine in my tail trunk space and never had a problem with that method.

I find that if you put it in your tail comparment it works if you use a shell, but if you have a passenger seat, it interferes? It wouldn't work for me in my compartment when I had the seat on it. I'll have to try that too! see if that works and how it will look/feel?

they dont do that anymore with the fees. they told me if it doesn't get picked up, dont worry, they'll just charge you by getting your license plate pic. they match up the pic to your tag and just charge you the regular price.

i stick mine right in teh front where teh widhshield is. Its not realy on the windshield that good, but its like kidna stuck there, so it won't go newhere. I got one expecially for the bike because its cheaper for bikes on the turnpike and the tunnels. I switch the one i have for my car with my minivan...

If all the way down there.. what are ya worried about? Just blow through.. or if there's a gate, tailgate the vehicle in front of you. (blah blah tailgating isn't safe blah blah) Or get the cheaper alternative to fast tags - VFX pivot kit.. which I know you wouldn't want as you said before but if anyone else is interested.
